Being green is more important today than ever before. It’s important because we need to be kind to the earth around us if we want it to last into future generations. However, it’s also important because people are interested in green and therefore businesses that are green are likely to do better than those that are not.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of associates degrees out there that offer you the chance to work in a field that’s rapidly becoming greener. Here are just a few of them:
- Culinary arts programs. Cooking schools such as the California Culinary Arts School are increasingly promoting local and organic food trends that are considered to be green.
- Design programs. All different types of design programs from fashion design to interior design are focusing on ways to be greener.
- Education. There is no better way to be involved in the new green trends than to learn enough about them to teach them to others. Not all education programs are green but a lot of them are heading that direction.
- Health care. This is a field that hasn’t traditionally focused on green issues but which is on the cutting-edge of becoming greener even as you read this.
The truth is that there are many different types of programs out there and that all of them are focusing more than before on being green. Make this a priority in your own education so that you can get the best jobs out there when you graduate.
