Becoming Director of our Health Region Someday

One of the things that my father always taught me was to be ambitious at everything you do.  It isn’t good enough to be second best, and best should always be your goal.  I have taken that lesson to heart and it is the guide that I use in whatever I do.

But at the same time, I am not willing to compromise my morals - my father really stressed that part.  It isn’t worth being the best if you have to step on someone else, and I totally agree with his ideology.

So, when I was hired to work in healthcare administration, I had my sights set on being the director of the health region.  I knew that it wasn’t going to be an immediate thing by any means, but I knew that I could work my way up to the top, and if I was the best, I could become the director.

I decided that I should make sure to have adequate education and experience so that I would be better qualified someday.  I am enrolled in a school of Health Management where I can further my education while still working.  I know that I have a long road ahead of me, but I will do what I need to succeed - and going to school is one small step on this journey.

One thing that the healthcare industry really needs is competent management. There’s never been a better time than now to get a degree in healthcare administration. It’s a good job, and you really get to help people.

Right now, I’m convinced that healthcare administration is one of the hottest fields for continued employment. Administrators also make good salaries, which is why I’m glad I’m working in this business. I don’t have to worry about losing my good job in this recession.

I work in healthcare administration because my moral beliefs stress helping others. I probably won’t get rich working as a healthcare administrator, but I’ll know that I’m helping others, and that’s more important to me than money.

My mom was a nurse and always resented all the red tape that medical professionals had to deal with. I became a medical administrator so that could help my staff and clients cut through the red tape.

I’m so glad I chose healthcare administration as my career, especially now when I see so many friends in other fields getting laid off. I know that I have job security at the hospital where I work.

Working in health care is the best. I started out as an LPN, then got a degree in Medical Administration. Now, I’m an assistant administrator for a health clinic and I’m making more money than I ever did as an LPN.

Being an administrator is hard work, but the money is good, and I have great benefits. I urge anyone wondering what to do for a job to think about becoming a medical administrator.
