Have you ever noticed that all blogs look virtually the same?  That’s because most people don’t know enough to design their own templates.  Instead they use the basic templates that are available through their blog’s host or software provider.  There are usually only a limited number of templates — or themes, as WordPress calls them — so most blogs end up feeling suspiciously familiar.

As a result, someone who can design a better blog template is much in demand in the blogosphere.  This someone might actually have attended a school such as the Collins school of graphic design, or perhaps they are just ambitious enough and clever enough to have figured it out on their own.

The designer I’ve used for my blogs is actually one of the latter, and her work is every bit as good as the "professionals"!  Of course, not every uneducated graphic designer is good enough to design professional quality blog templates without an education — I’m just reminding you to judge a graphic designer by their work, rather than their degree!
