Golf Schools Teach the Anatomy of the Golf Course

If you are thinking about going for one of the many careers in golf, you must master the basics before you jump into the more complicated aspects of the game. One of the things you will learn at any golf school is the anatomy of the golf course. Here is a little cheat sheet to get you started:
Teeing Ground
This is the area where the golfer takes his or her first stroke. This area is typically flat and provides the perfect lie for the first swing.
Fairway
This is the short, even part of the course where the golfer should hit the ball during tee-off.
Rough
This patch of land made up of rough, long grass is where the player wants to avoid. Opposed to the fairway, the rough is a disadvantage.
Hazards
Hazards are what make the course challenging. They include rivers, lakes, gardens, sand traps, etc.
Putting Green
This is where a player will hit the ball so it lands inside the cup.
After you learn the simple basics, golf schools will then teach you what you need to learn in order to concentrate on the specific area of the golf industry you wish to pursue whether it is playing for fun, making a career out of playing golf, or even offering golf instruction to others.
